Footprint

Generations By David Jacobi

What do we know

Us older and grey

About life that’s real

And problems today

Our time passes by

Until caught by our young

At first bewildered

They come to understand

That life is the footprint

Left by a bird

On a beach

When it takes flight

Waves

Wash

Away
