The Tetons and the Snake River By Ansel Adams

The nature photos by Ansel Adams seemed to be everywhere when I was a young man. Along with Playboy, Norman Rockwell and Garfield, calendars of his work were easy to find. After he died in 1984 at age 82 his photographs seemed to become even more prevalent. This amazing artist and master craftsman deserves to be remembered not only for his photography, but also for his conservation efforts and achievements. You can visit the Ansel Adams Gallery here to view more of his work. An excellent outline of his life can be found here. While looking at this picture of the Tetons I realized there are a few national parks I was inspired to visit because of his photos.
